Những năm gần đây công chúng yêu nhạc Việt Nam khá quen thuộc với tên gọi “nhạc dân gian đương đại”. Cảm nhận chung, đó là những tác phẩm âm nhạc được sáng tác trong thời hiện tại, nhưng từ âm điệu, lời ca, phối khí, cho đến những vấn đề liên quan đến trang phục, hình thức biểu diễn của ca sĩ... đều toát lên tính chất của âm nhạc dân gian, dân tộc. Để góp phần cụ thể hóa “cảm nhận” đó của công chúng, chúng tôi xin được chia sẻ cùng bạn đọc một số vấn đề về chất dân gian trong nhạc mới Việt Nam.
Nowadays, the Vietnamese music-loving public is quite familiar with the name "contemporary folk music". In general, these are musical works composed in the present time, but their melody, lyrics, arrangement, even problems related to the singer's costumes and performance forms are all imbrued with the nature of national folk and music. In order to contribute to concretizing that "feeling" of the public, we would like to share with readers some issues about the folk features in Vietnamese new music.
